Abstract from Wikipedia : Sir Philip Albert Gustave David Sassoon, 3rd Baronet, PC, GBE, CMG (4 December 1888 – 3 June 1939), was a British politician, art collector and social host, entertaining many celebrity guests at his homes, Port Lympne Mansion, Kent, and Trent Park, Hertfordshire, England. He was Private Secretary to Field Marshal Sir Douglas Haig from 1915-1918, and Under Secretary of State for Air 1924-29 and 1931–37; as well as the Hon. Air Commodore No. 601 (County of London) Squadron, Auxiliary Air Force.
